Its just that Windows XP wont show it as a scanner or camera in My Computer and also it wont detect in Scanner & Camera Wizard. I have a Canon Lide 30 scanner attached to computer by USB the scanner is recognised in Device manager and Control Panel however no applications will recognise the Twain driver including the tool box which came with the scanner. The only other USB device I have connected to the computer is a modem.

Hi, I am wanting to get a slide/neg scanner and am interested in the minolta dual scan and the canon canoscan 2710. Is there a significant difference in image quality in these scanners? I would prefer the minolta dual scan because it is more affordable, but I was interested if the canoscan gives better scans.

I have the CanoScan FB 620U scanner and it was working OK under W98. Under XP it needs the SG-CSU522 scanner driver (ScanGear v5.2.2 for the CanoScan). I downloaded this driver OK to a file but I have not been able to Run it as all efforts bring up the install Wizard; the Wizard takes over and dies.
